Ndeye Coumba Touré Kane served as Rector of the University of Sine Saloum El Hadji Ibrahima Niass (USSEIN) from July 2020 to February 2025. She holds a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) and a PhD in Molecular Virology and is a Full Professor in Microbiology field of Bacteriology–Virology at the University.

With 30 years of experience in higher education, biomedical research, and project management, she has collaborated with numerous national and international partners.
