How will I know if my abstract has been accepted?
You will receive an official email notification once the review process is complete. However, you can only secure a slot on the conference agenda upon confirmation of payment of conference fees.
What will be required of me if my abstract is accepted?
You will be required to do a 15-minute presentation during the breakaway sessions if your abstract is accepted for an oral presentation. The slide deck must be submitted to the organisers at least 7 days before the conference.
If your abstract is accepted for a poster presentation, you will be responsible for printing your poster per the specifications that will be provided. A designated display area will be available at the venue for mounting your poster.
Does the conference publish our papers in a journal?
At this time, AFREhealth does not have the capacity to publish conference papers or abstracts in a peer-reviewed journal. However, accepted abstracts will be included in the official conference abstract book. Participants are encouraged to seek publication opportunities independently if they wish to develop their work further.
As an abstract presenter, can I request my presentation to be scheduled on a specific day to suit my travel plans?
While we understand that travel logistics can vary, we kindly request presenters to be as flexible as possible. Abstract presentations are organised according to specific subthemes and rescheduling may disrupt the flow of the scientific program. Requests for specific scheduling will be considered on a case-by-case basis, however, they are not guaranteed and must be submitted well in advance. Since such changes may delay the finalization of the conference agenda, we strongly encourage early communication with the organizing team.

Are there recommended hotels or accommodations?
Yes, we have partnered with several local hotels offering discounted rates for conference attendees. Please visit the Travel page for details: Hotel Info
Do I need a visa to attend the conference?
Visa requirements depend on your country of origin. Check with your country’s immigration office for requirements. The organisers only provide an invitation letter to support the visa application.

Participants are kindly requested to arrange their airport transfers. AFREhealth does not provide shuttle services to and from the airport. However, information on recommended transport options and trusted local providers may be available on the Travel & Accommodation section of the conference website.
