Uganda offers diverse cuisine reflecting its rich heritage. Enjoy traditional dishes such as matoke, posho, grilled meats, and fresh fish, alongside international cuisine. Fresh fruits, vegetables, and local beverages are widely available.
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, hotel pick-up and transfer services can be arranged in advance. Licensed public taxi cabs are also available.
Kampala has reliable mobile network coverage. Major networks: MTN and Airtel. Local SIM cards are free with a passport copy. The conference venue offers Wi-Fi and business centre facilities.
Major hotels and businesses accept international credit/debit cards. For local transport, markets, and informal services, cash in UGX is preferred. Delegates are advised to carry a mix of UGX, cards, and hard currency.
Smoking is not permitted inside conference halls, meeting rooms, or hotel rooms. Designated outdoor smoking areas are available. Smoking in public spaces in Uganda is prohibited by law.
