The African Forum for Research and Education in Health Limited by Guarantee (AFREhealth) is a multidisciplinary network of health professionals dedicated to improving the quality of healthcare in Africa through research, education, and capacity building.
The network comprises over 70 institutions and more than 700 individuals, representing diverse health disciplines such as medicine, nursing, midwifery, pharmacy, and laboratory sciences and multiple languages (English, French, Portuguese, and Arabic). AFREhealth operates across 36 countries.
AFREhealth hosts annual conferences that bring together health professionals from across the globe to address pressing health issues in Africa. This conference serves as a platform for exchanging innovative ideas, sharing experiences and best practices, fostering research collaborations, building enduring partnerships, and networking. Typically, the event attracts over 350 delegates from Africa and beyond.
The 9th Annual Conference will take place in Kampala, Uganda, from 24-26 August 2026. Organizations, institutions, and individuals are invited to participate through sponsorships, exhibitions, and workshops.
