Entry Requirements for Uganda

Travel Visa Information

All international travellers to Uganda must possess a valid passport and visa. Your passport must be valid for at least six (6) months beyond your date of entry into Uganda.

Visa Application Process

We strongly recommend applying online for a smooth and convenient experience.

Registered conference participants who require it will receive an official invitation letter to support their visa application.

Steps to Apply Online

1. Visit https://visas.immigration.go.ug
2. Click “Visas/Permits” on the top menu
3. Select “Visas” and review requirements
4. Click “Applications” and apply online
5. Choose:
   • Uganda Ordinary/Tourist Visa – USD 50
   • East African Tourist Visa – USD 100

Important Note

East African nationals are exempt from visa fees but must still apply online. The visa will be issued free of charge.
