Dr. Umar Ibrahim
Dr. Umar Ibrahim is an Associate Professor of Environmental Change and Public Health with several years of experience in public health programs across Africa, Asia, and the Pacific.
He has worked across academia, civil society, consultancy, public service, and the private sector. Dr. Umar serves as the Climate Change and Health Focal Person for AFREhealth and is the National President of the Nigerian Association of Evaluators. He is also an Executive and Leadership Board Member of the Inter- and Transdisciplinary Global Alliance and lectures at Federal University Dutse, Nigeria.
His research focuses on climate change and health, transdisciplinary collaboration, resilient health systems, and environmental health, guided by SDGs 3, 11, and 17 stipulations. A former faculty member at Kampala International University, Uganda, he is committed to sustainability, equity, and inclusive partnerships. He brings extensive expertise in Monitoring and Evaluation and is passionate about advancing climate-resilient health systems through collaboration and innovation.
